Ivy Removal Service

Ivy Removal on your buildings brick work can be a fun DIY home project If you don't mind heights and have the correct access equipment to do the job safely.

Our Solihull base Ivy removal service is for those that don't like heights and want the service taken care of professionally.

So how do we remove the Ivy off your home? Unfortunately for the best results its not a fast process but it wont be any hassle for you. The first step when removing ivy from your building is to kill the ivy at the root level. This is simply to chop the root so the rest of the ivy above ground will begin to die off. But this takes some time.

Once the Ivy has been chopped at the root we will give the ivy 2-4 weeks for the remainder of the ivy to begin to die off. This is the best idea so that the roots that can bury themselves into the brick work will begin to loosen. We take the time to reduce the risk of damage to the property.

Weed killers on your ivy work, but this is one tough plant! Given the coating on the ivy leaf it can repel week killers and can often times require multiple applications. We try our best to not use any weed killers on your property and like to complete the ivy removal process in two visit. The visit visit to chop the roots and asses the access requirement for the project, begin to take down the heaviest parts of the the foliage. Then on the second visit 2-4 weeks later remove the remainder of the Ivy.

Removing every trace of the ivy is not possible unfortunately. The ivy roots that bury themselves into the brick work will remain after we have complete the ivy removal process. Only time and natural weathering will remove the Ivy Tendrils.

How much does Ivy removal cost?

Ivy removal varies on the size of the project but typically starts from £350.

The consideration that plays part in the price when removing is the access requirements for the project and the size of the ivy removal area. You might be surprised by how much Ivy is on your home so disposing of the waste can be quite a large task.

We have found that when we have request for Ivy removal the problem is pretty out of control, with ivy growing into the guttering and into roofs. You service may require more than just the Ivy removed.
